Disassociate an EIP from a cloud resource

Overview

This topic describes how to disassociate an elastic IP address (EIP) from a cloud resource. After the EIP is disassociated from the cloud resource, the cloud resource can no longer access the Internet by using the EIP. You are still charged a configuration fee for the EIP.

Procedure

  1. On the EIP page, click the Unbind button in the operation column. fg-dc-eip-3.7-1
  2. On the pop-up message, click the OK button. fg-dc-eip-3.7-2
  3. Once the IP address is successfully unbound, its status has been updated to Assigned. fg-dc-eip-3.7-3

Note : Force unbinding NAT

When you need to unbind the NAT gateway, make sure to remove the SNAT or DNAT entry associated with the EIP. You can also click the Force Unbind NAT button in the operation column, the system will automatically delete the SNAT or DNAT entry associated with the EIP, and then unbind the NAT gateway.

  2. On the EIP page, click the Unbind button

Note: An EIP associated with SNAT or DNAT cannot be directly unbound.

  1. On the EIP page, click the Force unbinding NAT button to force unbinding NAT.

  2. On the pop-up message, click the OK button.

Note: The system automatically deletes the SNAT or DNAT entry associated with the EIP and then unbinds the NAT gateway fg-dc-eip-3.7-9

  1. Once the IP address is successfully unbound, its status has been updated to Assigned.
