Release EIP

Overview

This topic describes how to release an elastic IP address (EIP) that you no longer need. After you release an EIP, you are no longer charged for the EIP.

Prerequisites

Take note of the following limits before you release an EIP:

• You can release only pay-as-you-go EIPs. You cannot release subscription EIPs.
• The EIP is not associated with a cloud resource. For details, see the CRE User Guide - Disassociate an EIP from a cloud resource for step-by-step instructions.

Procedure

1. On the EIP page, click the Release button.
   

2. On the pop-up message, click the OK button.
   

3. On the EIP release page, select an EIP.

4. On the EIP release page, click the Release button.
