Add ECS instances to a vServer group
Overview
This topic describes how to create a vServer group and then add Elastic Compute Service (ECS) instances to the vServer group. If you associate a vServer group with a listener, the listener distributes requests only to backend servers in the vServer group.
Prerequisites
- Create an SLB instance.
- ECS instances are created and applications are deployed on the ECS instances to receive requests.
Procedure
On the Instances page, click the instance.
On the Instances Management page, click the vServer Groups tab.
On the vServer section, click the Create vServer Group button.
On the Create vServer Group Name section, enter a name.
On the Added Servers section, click the Add button.
On the Select Servers section, select the ECS instances that you want to add.
On the Select Servers section, click the Next button.
8. On the Configure Ports and Weights page, enter a port and a weight for each ECS instance.
Note:
- Port: The backend port that the ECS instance uses to receive requestsï‚·. On the same CLB instance, ECS instances can use the same port.
- Weight: An ECS instance with a higher weight receives more requests.
9. On the Configure Ports and Weights page, click the Add button.
On the Create vServer Group page, click the Create button.
On the pop-up message, click the OK button.
- Once the vServer Group is successfully created, its status has been updated as shown.
